Beckoning climbers hand trackers from all over Western India is Mount kalsubai (1,646m), the highest peak in Maharashtra and the Western Ghats. Highest utough, doesn’t mean toughest, and Kalsubai is a trek for everyone who is reasonably fit. A breathtaking Vista of shimmering waters and splendid Forts awaits you, and making the break even more exciting are the iron Ladders that leads you up precarious paths and the series of Pinnacle that lure you into thinking you’ve reached the top. Itinerary

Day 110:00 PM Reporting

We’ll meet at 10 p.m. at our Reporting Point, on arriving meet our Volunteer.
Board to the Bus & get depart to the Base Village Bari.

Day 205:00 AM Arrival at Base Village

Early morning on arrival at Base Village Bari, get freshened up and have Breakfast and Tea. After freshened up and breakfast we’ll start our trek to Kalsubai Peak.
Just beyond the first section of the village A path cuts across a stream and some Rice Paddies and Climbs up a spur to disappear into the forest.
This is the trail up. Initially the climb is steep then levels out onto a flat Stretch with a few Huts and Open fields in 30 Minutes.
Just pass the herds the path enters the Courtyard of a temple. Some insta some interesting stone pillars for lamp post and carve Nadi poles are scattered in the Courtyard the trees around the temples make it an ideal Oasis where you can take a break before continuing the climb.

10:30 AM Ladders Point

From here the trail gets steeper and at three points iron ladders have installed to assist you through. There are iron Ladders fix at two points and a couple of railings where the part is little precarious. The second ladder is steep and leads up a Rocky gully. From here the trail is very dusty with lots of scree. Kalsubai’s Trademark is a series of false summits.
From the well the Summit rock is visible and a clear path leads up to an iron ladder that eventually brings you to the top. A short climb of the rock face will bring you to the top and a small Temple dedicated to Devi Kalsubai.

11:30 AM - 12:30 PM Summit Point

The view from the top is the icing on a cake. Right below you is the vast expanse of the Bhandardara Dam. In the South one can see Ghanchakkar KatraBai Khind, Ratangad Fort and Khutta Pinnacle while on the Right or due West, one can see Alang Fort, Madangad and Kulang. On the return descend to the Bari village the way you came up.

03:30 PM to 04:00 PMLunch and Relaxation

On arrival at Base Village Bari, have your Lunch and Get relaxed. After everyone is done with Lunch will board to the Bus for our return Journey to our Hometown.

Arrival at Pune
