“Mhaaro Rang Rangeelo Rajasthan” is truly blessed with vivacious cultures, royal heritages, holy traditions, communities living in harmony and enchanting nature. It is also, literally and in every sense, the “Land of Kings.” This time we are here to tell you the difference between two major regions of Rajasthan that are the Mewar Province and the Marwar Province. Mewar and Marwar are pretty much similar on the basic level, but when scrutinized, they have some contrasting features.

Here in Marwar/ Marwad Tour we used to Visit some cities of Rajasthan Like, Jodhpur- Blue City of Rajasthan, Jaisalmer- Golden City of Rajasthan, Bikaner- City of Desert, Mandawa City.

Highlights of the Tour

The word “Marwar” comes from the word ‘Maru,’  a Sanskrit word, which means desert and from a Rajasthani slang‘wad’ which means a particular area. Marwar is basically known as ‘The Region of Desert’.  

  • Jodhpur: The Sun City is the second largest city in Rajasthan,famous for Handicrafts.
  • Jaisalmer: The golden city is famous for its alluring magnificent forts, haveli, Palaces and the best Camel Safari.
  • Bikaner: The Desert city is situated in the middle of the Great Thar desert, famous for sweets and snacks.
  • Mandawa is a town in Shekhawati region of Rajasthan. It's popular among travellers for its fort and fascinating havelis which have lavishly painted walls.
Itinerary

Day 1Arrival at Jodhpur

On arrival pick up from Jodhpur Railway Station/ Airport, proceed to our pre-booked hotel. After check in freshened up get relax at Hotel. Jodhpur a captivating city with titles like ‘Sun City’ and the ‘Blue City’. Evening, explore the famous Umaid Bhavan Palace later on enjoy at the Mandore Gardens.
Then back to Hotel for Dinner and Night Halt.

Day 2Full Day Jodhpur Sightseeing's

Morning after freshened up and Breakfast get ready to explore Blue City Jodhpur, Explore Mehrangarh, Jaswant Thada & Much more.

Jodhpur – Considered as the ‘Gateway to Thar’, Jodhpur is the second largest city in Rajasthan.

Mehrangarh Fort – Rising above the city of Jodhpur, Mehrangarh Fort is truly stunning. Jodhpur boasts of this architectural wonder very well. A Museum in the fort is worth exploring.
Jaswant Thada – Jaswant Thada built in the memory of Maharaja Jaswant Singh, the second in the year of 1899, this is close to Mehran Garh Fort.

Evening back to Hotel for Night Halt.

Day 3Jodhpur - Jaisalmer

Early Morning after freshened up and breakfast, Check out from Hotel and proceed towards our Next Destination, Jaisalmer. On arrival Hotel Check in after freshened up Enjoy Sunset at Gadisar Lake and Spend some leisure time at Jaisalmer Local Market.

A man-made water reservoir, the Gadisar Lake was once the only source of water in Jaisalmer. Constructed by the first ruler of Jaisalmer, Raja Rawal Jaisal, it is surrounded by temples and ghats (banks). One can spend some peaceful time in the serene surroundings of the lake or choose to go boating as well. Boating and watching calm water in their natural surroundings can be a great experience with everyone at Gadisar Lake.

Evening get Back to Hotel for Night Stay.

Day 4Jaislmer Full Day Sightseeing with Thar Desert

Morning after freshened up and breakfast get check out from Hotel. Then proceed for the sightseeing of Jaisalmer.
Jaisalmer Fort locally known as Sonar Quila is one of the largest forts in the world located in Jaisalmer City in Rajasthan, India. It was built in 1156 AD by the Bhati Rajput ruler Rao Jaisal, from where it originates its name.
The Patwon Ji ki Haveli is an interesting piece of Architecture and is the most important among the havelis in Jaisalmer. This is precisely because of two things, first that it was the first haveli erected in Jaisalmer and second, that it is not a single haveli but a cluster of 5 small havelis.
Post Lunch get Proceed to Jaisalmer desert camp. On arrival enjoy Camel ride, folk dance and magnificent sunset in famous Sam Sand Dunes with dinner.
Overnight at desert camp.

Day 5Jaisalmer - Bikaner

After freshened up and Check out proceed to Bikaner En-route visit Camel Breeding Farm, Karni Mata temple
& Overnight stay at Bikaner.

Day 6Bikaner Sightseeing's

Enjoy city tour of Bikaner. Visit Junagarh Fort which includes Anup Mahal, Gaj Mandir, Sheesh Mahal and Prachina Museum. View Lalgarh Palace. Visit Sadul Museum and Asia’s biggest Camel Research Farm.

Day 7Bikaner - Mandawa

Today proceed to Mandawa. Mandawa – the heart of the Shekhawati region of Rajasthan. We visit Mandawa fort, Decorated with paintings of Lord Krishna, various carvings and amazing mirror work.

Day 8Mandawa - Jaipur Drop

On the last day of the tour, bid farewell to the Mandawa post breakfast. The tour ends with memories to cherish forever. Move towards Jaipur Railway Station or Airport to catch your train/flight towards your onward destination.
